Jesus Power

To God goes all the glory, honor, power and praise for what He has done in my life! I just want to tell you what happened to me to let you know that you could have too what I have found in Jesus Christ, which is total healing and restoration of my life. Jesus saved me and healed me from scoliosis, which is progressive abnormal curvature of the spine. I wasn't supposed to walk or have any children, but because of Jesus love and mercy, He saved me from the jaws of death. 

I was raised in a Christian Reformed church atmosphere, and my father was an elder of the church where we attended. I felt very indifferent in that environment, except for when I became involved with a group within the church called S.W.I.M. (Summer Workshop in Missions). Also, at the age of twelve I fell out of a car with epilepsy resulting, which is in mild form now. 

Circumstances led me to where I left the church after losing my ex-husband and son in one month's time, which was through a very painful divorce. I began to hang around with the wrong people and the next thing I knew I realized I was in a gang (Latin Manic Disciples). When I realized I was in a gang, I felt hurt and hostile, wondering why Jesus was allowing all these things to happen to me. After all, I was an elder's daughter and was active in the church. Later I felt Jesus rejected me, but I realize now that it was me who rejected Him. The things I did were like dead works, but yet Jesus kept His arms outstretched to me. You see, I only served Him half-heartedly, as I look back on it now. 

One day when I was in the gang, I decided 'enough is enough'. I was never brought up this way, and everything they did was wrong. It wasn't Jesus' way and I knew better. I had just finished praying to Jesus as the guys came back. They asked me if I had been praying, and I told them, "Of course I was," and everything came out about what was going on inside of me. They realized that I had just given my life to Jesus Christ.

I should be six feet under, but Jesus saved me from the jaws of death. The next night after I had prayed and asked Jesus to come into my heart, I had a guy who I used to go out with, try to kill me with a knife. He couldn't do it, so his twin brother tried to kill me two weeks later. I had been sleeping when I felt something touching me; I woke up seeing him (the twin) standing over me with a knife in his hand. 

When he tried to plunge the knife into my body, he couldn't because it was as if someone was holding his arm. Everytime he tried, the knife went into his hand instead. All I could see were beautiful feet and a pure whitish blue gown, which was raised in the air. Then I looked at the other guys in the room and they looked so very scared. I thought it must have been one of Jesus' angels there preventing this man from killing me, and then the vision of beautiful feet and the pure whitish blue gown disappeared.

All I could hear was a windy sound and one of the guys saying, "don't you have any respect for God?" The next morning I asked the twin brother about his hand just to see what he would say. He said the cuts on his hand happened at work and for me to get away from him. I went into the bathroom and just laughed and thanked God for sparing my life!

Then two days later, they lied to me again and told me a girlfriend was going to meet me there. But they thought it was just another way to get rid of me once and for all. They held a gun to the temple of my head, which made me very angry! I said Jesus name under my breath. They told me "God can't help you now!" That made me even more hostile toward what they wanted to do. When they tried shooting the gun, it only clicked. I had just recently put a new bullet in that gun, and the next thing I knew they were blaming each other for the gun not working right. They just told me to get out of there, so I ran to a school across the street and hid in the bushes for awhile and then left when I felt it was safe again.

Jesus doesn't make all of your problems go away, but He will always be there when you need Him. You just need to call on His name - He is listening no matter what you are doing or where you are. If it is family problems, marital problems, financial problems or whatever - Jesus has a miracle with your name on it! Whatever is bothering you at anytime in your life, even if it is a bad report from the doctor, Jesus can help. He loves you so much!

He was born in a stable, walked this earth, did many miracles, healed many people and was just a carpenter's son. Most importantly, He was the Son of God and He died for you and for me, was buried, arose from the grave, and is coming back for us again. When He comes back are we going to be ready? Will Jesus be in your heart? Will you be working for Jesus instead of against Him?

Since Jesus came into my heart, I have been writing a book about how He saved my life - how he saved me, healed me, and set me on fire for Him. I have a real purpose in life; I thought I had purpose before I knew Jesus personally, but knowing Him personally gives me such a high I had never experienced before. I'm happy all of the time and I don't have to put money on a store counter to get cigarettes or alcohol anymore. Jesus made you and He loves you!

Heaven is for Jesus and His angels and all those who make Him Savior and Lord of their lives, but hell was made for only Satan and his demons. Don't be in chains when you can have real freedom. Don't wait to have Jesus come into your heart; you must ask Him to come in. What if you get in an accident or die while sleeping, and you haven't yet asked Jesus to come into your heart and life? When you die people at your funeral will say, "It's too bad - he or she wanted to give their life to Jesus Christ before they died, but now it's too late." Please don't let that be what happens to you! 

If you would like to ask Jesus Christ to come into your life, please say this prayer sincerely from your heart and He will hear you and meet you at your point of need in your life:

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I repent of my sins. I believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ who died for my sins, He was raised from the dead, and sits on the right hand of God Almighty. I turn from my sins and invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life. Thank you Lord for saving my soul! In Jesus name I pray this, Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of God! My gentle Savior will lead you day by day. Please don't hide what you've just done - go and tell someone! Let your light shine before men and Him!

"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 

"Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand and it gives light to all who are in the house." 

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-16)

Remember: All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity. (Matthew 6:19-21 is our assurance)
