PRAYING ALWAYS...

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:18)
Does it strike you strange at all . . . that God should have to remind His people that prayer is a weapon?
Really . . . think about it. Why would God have to remind us that prayer is a WEAPON to fight against demonic powers that wage war against Christian believers?
Why really is it that the devil so wants to discourage us in our prayer lives?
Because the less Christians pray (and especially pray wisely), the less God's power is released to hinder Satan from having his way in the affairs of mankind.
The less Christians pray (and especially pray wisely), the more difficult it is for them to trust and have on-going faith (unwavering confidence) in God. Loss of faith (diminishing confidence) in God produces joyless Christianity. Joyless Christianity is essentially powerless Christianity, and it can be devastating! Joyless Christianity brings on more and more depression -- hopelessness -- anger -- will give you reasons in your mind to skip out on attending Church with other believers -- find reasons to not feast your soul and spirit on the Word of God as often as is good for you -- give you reasons to stop witnessing; being used of God to reach out to the lost -- will entice you to pick up addictions broken off you life or pick up new ones ... the harmful affects go on and on. Joyless Christianity will eventually harden your spiritual heart towards the things of God, and you will come under Satan's deceptive control without even realizing it.
The reason God told us that prayer is a weapon against evil is because He knew how intense Satan and his demons would work at keeping believers from realizing at all times just how valuable and important a weapon against evil prayer actually is!
Satan does not want you and I realizing how potent a weapon prayer is (which so importantly includes FASTING) against him, that's the bottom line! Let's say it again: Satan does not want you and I believing how potent our prayers can be against him. Oh sure ' he doesn't mind if you kind of believe that the prayers of others have power over him - maybe ... but for goodness sake, not your prayers! Why, you know how little faith you have in your prayers, don't you? How many times has that subtle little thought crossed your mind in a day since you became a born again believer? About a thousand times or more, maybe? Can't even count that high, maybe?

The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity.
