(By: Patricia Yagmurkaya)

My life has been a turning point of ups and downs, marriages and divorces, and my life has been going nowhere. I was raised as a Roman Catholic as a child. I attended catechism classes every Sunday and it wasn't till I had become very ill that I prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ to come into my life and show me what I was doing wrong, to help me to overcome my illness and make me well again. That week my sister- in-law had called me on the phone and asked me to join her and my brother to a community fair that her church was having. I instantly had told her no, mainly because I didn't want anyone to see me. I had had a cyst that had grown in my chin and had to have it surgically removed. A a result of the surgery, I had to have my bottom 7 teeth removed. During the surgery, one of my front teeth were also chipped. My self-confidence had gone down and I didn't want to go out into public.

Due to no medical or dental insurance I was unable to have my teeth put back in or my chipped tooth repaired. Anyway, my sister-in-law was very insistent on me attending this community fair, so I had finally told her OK. She had told me that they would pick me up that day; I live in New Jersey and they live in Pennsylvania. She told me we would be attending church service that morning before the community fair, I told her that was fine. I was very nervous about attending church service at her church. Remember, I was always a Roman Catholic. She came to pick me up and I was so nervous. She told me her church was very inspirational and the people were all full of love and that no one would look at me funny, but that they would hug and invite me in with loving arms.

I got to the church and it was beautiful. I went in with my brother and sister-in-law and we sat in the front row. The service began, and I was blown away; the feeling that came over me was as if Jesus Christ was in every part of my body. I cried and cried and cried. My brother was standing next to me and he put his arms around me and said, "sister, everything is going to be o.k. God is with you."

The sermon began, and to my amazement the pastor talked about pain and suffering, the pain and suffering I had gone through for the past 2 years is beyond recollection. I asked myself why did the pastor choose to talk about this sermon on the day that I was attending the service. My answer was that Jesus Christ was moving into my life.

The church service had ended and we went out to the fair grounds. I was approached by a gentleman named Daniel who had asked me if it was okay for him to tell a story to me that had happened to him that morning. I said sure, and he proceeded to tell me that while he was getting dressed for church service a voice had told him to find his anointing oil and to take it to church service with him because there was someone in need of help that day. He said he looked all over for that oil and finally found it in his top drawer. He said he put it into his pocket and proceeded to come to church. He told me as he had pulled into the driveway and had seen me and a voice came to him and said, "Daniel, that is the woman you need to help today."

He said that he didn't know what was wrong with me but he knew it was bad because the voice had told him. He asked me what was wrong, if he could ask, and I told him that I had had a cancerous cyst growing in my chin. He then cried and asked me if he could anoint me with this oil and I told him absolutely. It didn't end there; the church holds a prayer healing event for someone that day at the fair that they feel by the spirit of God that needs it. They came up to me and asked me if they could have a prayer healing for me. All I could do was cry. During the prayer healing, they laid their hands on me, and I felt very hot and I felt like electricity had entered my entire body. The feeling was overwhelming, and I cried and cried and cried.

After the prayer healing was finished, I went outside to get some fresh air. I looked up to the sky and I said, "Jesus, thank you so much for showing me so much love and grace and thank you for placing your hand on me during the prayer healing."

Then I asked Jesus, "Do you have a plan for me? Do you want me to serve you and spread your gospel throughout the world?" To my amazement the black clouds that were in the sky came together and formed a perfect cross; I was in complete awe. I told my brother and sister-in-law what had happened and my sister-in-law told me that this is God's calling to me. Since that day, I have chosen to become a reborn Christian. I have been ordained and I have entered courses to learn all about the Bible, Jesus Christ, and his gospel and teachings. I have earned my PhD, and I am looking forward to starting my own ministry called, The Everlasting Light Of Jesus Christ, which will also be a testimonial website for anyone desiring to share their personal miracles of Jesus Christ in their lives. I cannot tell you the warmth and love I feel from Jesus Christ in my home and in my life everyday. It is a delight and a miraculous feeling. I do not intend to stop here. I intend to strive on to someday plant my own church and open the doors to my own congregation and preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all.

JESUS DID IT! and...

Remember: All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity. (Matthew 6:19-21 is our assurance)
