THE AMAZING RESULTS OF A 40-DAY FAST!

I remember going to Dallas, Texas for a two week revival which turned out to be 17 weeks long. I was resting in a room, which was located above the sanctuary in the back, after having been on a 40 day fast seeking the Lord for further instruction and revelation. Following that fast I was greatly strengthened spiritually and insisted on spending time alone with God.
I saw the hand of God move in many ways in that Crusade and wanted to see more. This particular afternoon, I went up in the prayer chamber in Souls Harbor Church and immediately such an overwhelming compassion came over me for Dallas. All of a sudden, I began to weep and cry and I said, 'Dear God please show what you want me to do in Dallas, Texas. Lord, I know that I don't have the answer and my strength comes from you. Please God, what do you want me to do in Dallas?'
Suddenly I looked up and I saw a small light. I knew it was not coming from the tiny dark window above. The light came closer and closer and illuminated the whole room with a heavenly glow.
As I looked I saw an angel with a large book in one hand, and a feather quill in the other. My heart leaped for joy. I said, 'Praise God, it's going to be written in the book what God wants me to do.'
But when the angel stood before me and extended the book to me ' every page was blank!
I thought: God, I just knew you were going to write in the book what You wanted me to do.
Then the angel handed me the quill, and said, 'The Father said to tell you to write in the book, what you want HIM to do!'
Praise God! Can you get the picture? God has given us commanding power and it is not what we are able to do, but what God will do for us if we will only believe!
I wrote and wrote in that book with that feathered quill. The angel just stood there until I was finished. Then I handed the book and the quill back to him and he left immediately in the same way he came.
The very things I wrote in that book happened that night. But it did not stop there! I have witnessed the result of that day over and over again even to the day before this book went to print, titled:
WALKING IN HIS POWER.
The following chapters in this book are 'evidence of the power' given to us by the Holy Spirit, using the Word, Name, and the Blood of Jesus Christ. These miracles and healings are a result of what was written in that book which I handed back to the angel that unforgettable afternoon in Texas.
Editorial Note: It is nothing short of amazing indeed what God in fact did do through brother C. S. Upthegrove's ministry following his encounter with the angel. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity.
