(By: Chris Okubo)

I prayed to God for him to show himself to me, but really didn't expect a response. Then I looked out of my bedroom window and saw Jesus in the sky. I was filled with the most amazing feelings of love and comfort I've ever experienced.

These are just a few of the tamer phrases I would have said to you not two weeks ago. I can now say with all my heart and soul that I know Jesus is alive today, in spirit, and is working miracles all around us. Just as He did before He gave his life for us over 2000 years ago. So that we can be forgiven for our sins and receive the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

I still really can't believe I'm writing this! "What a turn for the books", as my Nana said today when I told her I had become a Christian. I've got to admit I'm having battles with myself. My head questions my faith, but when I pray the love I feel answers my questions. I don't think we are supposed to totally understand everything, because are we not just a small part of God's creation?

This morning at church I was asked if I would like to share my recent experience of becoming a Christian with the rest of the group. I've got to admit I was quite nervous and couldn't think of what I was going to say when I got up there. When I got up to the front it all just flowed out about how I simply asked the Holy Spirit to come upon me and show me His love. I told of how I asked Him for a sign. As I looked out of my bedroom window I saw an image of Jesus carrying his cross in the clouds. I was very shocked but had an amazing feeling of elation, joy, love and peace; it may have been just my imagination but I felt inside that He let me take a look at Him and gave me the sign I asked for.

Before this miraculous event took place I lived as an atheist, not believing in any afterlife nor any Creator, (although I had a feeling inside that there was something). Consequently, there was no accountability, so I could do things like experiment with illegal substances, and did so to the point of near death many times, and committed ethical breaches against others, etc., without any remorse. And if I were to remember more carefully, (something I'd rather not do) probably things a whole lot worse. I regarded guilt as a worthless emotion. I used illegal drugs, cannabis among many others from the age of 13. I was an unhappy teenager and all through my life have tried to fill the emptiness in my heart with drugs, alcohol and unhealthy relationships. I lived a sinful life and I was ignorantly unaware of all this until I accepted Jesus Christ into my life. I felt the heavy burden of all I've done wrong lifted from my heart. My guilt that I denied I ever had was a dark mass inside me that Jesus lifted away. It's true that if you accept Jesus into your life and really believe in Him, you are forgiven no matter what you've done. I always knew there was something, but never knew what.

Now I know, Praise Jesus!

Dear Reader - are you at peace with God?  If not, you can be. Do you know what awaits you when you die? You can have the assurance from God that heaven will be your home, if you would like to be certain. You can even have that assurance RIGHT NOW!  Either Jesus Christ died for your sins, or He didn't (He did!). Are you prepared to stand before God on the Judgment Day and tell Him that you didn't need the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross to have your sins forgiven and get in right-standing with God? We plead with you...please don't make such a tragic mistake.

To get to know God, to be at peace with God, to have your sins forgiven, to make certain heaven will be your home for eternity, to make certain that you are in right-standing with God right now ... please click here to help you understand the importance of being reconciled to God. What you do about being reconciled to God will determine where you will spend eternity, precious one. Your decision to be reconciled to God is the most important decision you'll ever make in this life, because in Christ, it is impossible to put a value on the worth of your soul in light of eternity.

JESUS DID IT! and...

Remember:  All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity. (Matthew 6:19-21 is our assurance)
