An Overview Regarding Hypnotism & Mind Persuasion – Control

(By: Norm Rasmussen)

Can a person be hypnotized against their will? The answer is: "Yes" and "No". The "YES" part is what I feel to mostly address. But first: Hypnotism is PARTLY using "The power of suggestion" in some instances. (It might also be a means by which the reasoning/decision part of the mind is bypassed and the tapping directly into the spirit of the person). With one-on-one situations: It is the means of bypassing one's decision-making process and obeying the suggestions/commands of the hypnotist (IF it doesn't violate the moral conscience of the one hypnotized.)

Then there is a second way "hypnotism" can work. STAGE hypnotism is when the hypnotist can speak to an audience and small to large numbers of people in the audience become controlled by the hypnotist. Those that become hypnotized in various levels of hypnosis in this setting may NOT be consciously aware it is even happening to them...thereby not necessarily granting their permission for it to happen, yet it can anyway. Back in Old Testament times, the Jewish leaders would have called "hypnotism" WITCHCRAFT. Meaning - influencing another against their will ... and/or ... influencing them via the aid of demonic spirits using the hypnotist as a medium to work through.

Saying it another way: "Brain/spirit control (belief manipulation) of another" for purposes of either good or evil. RUN from any person or organization trying to CONTROL you when it is robbing you from the peace of Jesus Christ. Satan seeks to control. God lovingly invites.

Hitler was a MASS hypno-terrorist (spelling correct) in that he was a MASTER "stage hypnotist." His persuasive words ended up deceiving multitudes to engage in evil. Fear accompanied his agenda. Yet Hitler "believed" what he was doing was the right thing. And that is the scary part about WITCHCRAFT in all of it's slippery, demonic forms. The people leading it rarely realize they may be doing Satan's bidding. ANY person calling themselves a Christian can utilize "The power of suggestion" to mislead and even deceive others. Atheists can tap into it. All they need is an audience to write and/or speak to.

God tells us in Proverbs to "Put your trust in NO man." God knows what's He's talking about. Humans can be deceived and CAN and DO deceive others. And what is even MORE sobering...we can believe the lies of Satan DIRECTLY from his broadcasting station without any human being involved in it and never have a CLUE we're believing his lies until God breaks through and reveals the lies we've believed.

PROOF of Satan's brainwashing? The Bible says the majority of the human race will NOT believe the Gospel Message, and will end up in hell for it. WHY? Because people chose to BELIEVE Satan's lies. (Yet on the Judgment Day we won't be able to blame SATAN for it, will we? Satan can tell us lies, but we DON'T have to believe them. We will be held accountable by what WE chose to believe). So my point in all this?

Be VERY CAREFUL what you SEE, FEEL, BELIEVE and DO. And to Christian speakers/teachers/preachers? Reread James 3:1 frequently. Some of the greatest demonic deception is yet to land on planet earth. We read about it in the Book of Revelation. Jesus warned us about it at the BEGINNING of Matthew 24: 4: "Take heed that no one deceives you."

The WISEST way to spot deception is to be a dedicated STUDENT of God's Word (correctly interpreting it and wisely applying it) and ASKING God frequently to REVEAL deception to you and being PATIENT about the matter until He reveals it to you. AND...ask God frequently to expose spiritual pride in you and bring a willingness to change if/when necessary. "Know-it-all" Christians are some of the easiest vessels Satan can use to do his bidding.

The "Prosperity message connected with $$$$" is one of Satan's most effective means of inflicting mind-control on Christians. God's definition of "Prosperity" is SPIRITUAL ... and it doesn't take one dollar to make that happen.

LUST blinds. Lust falls under 3 broad areas:
1) Lust for fame; self-importance
2) Sexual lust/pleasure
3) Material lust

LUST can "hypnotize" you without your even realizing it. So can anger and refusing to forgive.

The misinterpretation of “healing” in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 may be more dangerous than the $$$$ Prosperity message. Healing is no more a "right" than salvation is.

The false prophet working with the anti-Christ as spoken of in the Book of Revelation in the Bible will be both hypnotically persuasive and allowed to demonstrate amazing “signs” and “wonders” as a means to “authenticate” themselves.
