DO YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE NOT WORTHY ENOUGH TO BE SAVED FROM YOUR SINS?

(By: Norm Rasmussen)

If you believe you are not worthy enough to be saved from eternal punishment for your sins -- BEWARE! You are believing the lie of the devil.

If you believe you have sinned too many times, and you are just too bad or not good enough for God to save you from your sins -- you have believed the lie of the devil.

If you believe you first must stop sinning before God will forgive you for your sins -- you have believed the lie of the devil.

If you have been a Christian and you have backslidden in your relationship with Jesus Christ, and perhaps even turned your back on Him completely and have been living in total rebellion to Him -- and now want to once again be forgiven for it and get right with Him again but believe He will not take you back -- you have believed the lie of the devil.

If you believe you must first go to a church, or you must first join a local church and/or become connected to a Christian denomination to be saved -- you have believed the lie of the devil.

If you believe participating in religious actives is necessary before you can be saved -- you have believed the lie of the devil.

If you believe you must first somehow pay -- suffer -- for your sins to be saved -- you have believed the lie of the devil.

If you believe you have not sinned enough, thereby do not need forgiveness for your sins -- you have believed the lie of the devil.

If you believe you are not a sinner at all, thereby willing to take your chances on the Judgment Day that God will let you into heaven simply because you are a good person or not a bad person -- you have believed the lie of the devil.

The truth of the matter IS -- the devil does not want sinners realizing that worthiness has nothing to do with Gods eager desire to save us from our sins!

Here is what the devil does not want you knowing and believing.  When it comes to worthiness, there was only One who was worthy enough to pay the price for our sins. That person was Jesus Christ. Jesus was the ONLY human being who ever lived on this planet who never sinned. Not once. And because He never sinned, that qualified Him to be totally worthy to purposely go to the cross and take full punishment for the sins of every person. Take full punishment for your sins and my sins -- and the sins of everyone else living on this planet.

Had Jesus sinned just once -- that would have disqualified Him to be worthy enough to take God the Father's wrath -- take God the Father's punishment -- on behalf of your sins and my sins and the sins of every other person living on this planet.

Had Jesus sinned just once -- you and I and everyone else must suffer -- be punished by God -- for our sins in hell for eternity. God means exactly what He has forever decreed:  For the wages of sin are death. Eternal spiritual death. Complete separation from God's love, joy, peace, blessings ... forever.

Yet because Jesus never sinned once -- no one alive on this planet now has to suffer in hell as punishment for their sins once they die, if they will ask Jesus Christ to forgive them for their sins before they die, and BELIEVE with all their heart that the Lord Jesus Christ paid full punishment for their sins by taking their punishment -- when He did not have to, no less. Taking full punishment for all our past, present, and all future sins we've yet to commit at that!

Satan and the demons who serve him and all those who are now in hell will never be given the chance to have forgiveness for their sins, because judgment has already been executed by God because of their sins. Until a person dies, they have the opportunity to receive eternal salvation -- receive total and complete forgiveness for their sins and be assured they will spend eternity in heaven with God upon dying -- if they will call out to Jesus and ask Him to forgive them of all their sins before they die, and BELIEVE that He paid full price for their sins by dying on the cross and taking full punished for their sins --ALL their sins.

Satan is the father of lies, and when we refuse to believe what the Bible says about him, we allow him to do our thinking without even realizing it. Satan will never be forgiven for his rebellion -- sins against God. And because he will never now be forgiven for his rebellion against God -- he does not want anyone else being forgiven either. He now hates God for not being able to be forgiven, as do the demons (also fallen angels, just like Satan), and as long as they are allowed to have influence over the human race, they are going to do everything in their power to try to keep people from believing this truth:

God fully delights in saving sinners who are sorry for sinning against Him and others, and will humble themselves and reach out to grab hold of the free gift of forgiveness -- salvation -- that is only available through the Lord Jesus Christ -- but it is only available BEFORE they die. After they die, it is too late to ask for it and be given it.

And the sobering truth of the matter is -- none of us know when we are going to die. None of us have assurance of one more heart beat.

Satan will try to convince you to wait until tomorrow to ask for and receive total forgiveness for your sins. Why would he do such a thing? Because he knows that tomorrow may never come for us, in this life.

Dear Reader - are you at peace with God? If not, you can be. Do you know what awaits you when you die? Remember:  All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity.
