HELL WILL BE FULL OF WASTED CREATIONS

(By: Norm Rasmussen)

Hell will be filled with wasted creations: Rebels against the Creator who didn't want to answer to anyone but themselves. Fallen angels - demons - humans - who had unlimited potential throughout eternity in and through our Lord Christ Jesus ... yet completely squandered it because they wanted to be their OWN Lord -- their OWN self-willed -- self-serving judge and jury and self-appointed authority regarding what is "truth", and what isn't. Sobering to think about, isn't it?

If YOU were God, can you fathom creating a being that didn't want to show you respect? Show you appreciation for giving them an existence? A JOYOUS, MEANINGFUL, PRODUCTIVE existence at that? I surely can't. Yet that is what God did. Whether angel or human, God created both to enjoy meaningful relationship with Him for all eternity. But LOVE being one of God's divine attributes, He could not make them 'robots.' He had to give them the ability to choose; He had to give them free will. Free will meant that they could WILLINGLY decide to have meaningful relationship with Him 'through His guidelines' or they could choose to reject the opportunity granted them.

Yet giving His created beings the gift of FREE WILL, His divine attribute of JUSTICE must also be taken into account if any of those creations chose to go their own way and refuse meaningful relationship with Him under His guidelines in doing so. Thus a place (prison) called Hell was created to house those created beings who used their gift of FREE WILL to essentially try to be their own 'god'; or in other words, be the master of their own decision making WITHOUT any assistance (boundaries) from the All Wise One, rather than entrusting their decisions (and modify them if not so wise) and their ultimate fate to the One who created them: The All Wise, All Powerful One.

One of the most difficult things for me to do is go to a funeral of a person who did not have a love relationship with Jesus Christ prior to dying. There is always a dark, hallow-like pain in my spirit during these occasions, and I've come to learn that I'm feeling a little of what the Holy Spirit feels when another lost soul departs. Another creation who will never know all that they could have had walking with Jesus Christ through eternity, yet gave up their potential.

Please dear one ' don't let that be YOU. Be wise with your eternity.

There is no way of knowing what God can do through you and for you throughout eternity. Most would be in agreement with that statement.  et there is a CONDITION to it. In one word, it's called: Repent.

The word "repent" has a two-fold meaning. In this case, it means to turn one's life over to Jesus Christ, making Him Savior and Lord of your life. It's the process of becoming spiritually born again.

The Holy Bible tells us how thrilled God and the holy angels are in heaven when one lost creation here on earth is no longer is a lost, wasted creation:

"In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (Luke 15:10 NIV)

Our sin separates us from a holy God and our eternal potential.  Jesus Christ paid the price on the cross for all our sins to be forgiven - so we can be fully restored to God the Father in good standing. He is the only ONE who was qualified to pay the price for our sins to be forgiven -- to have the sin barrier removed between us and God. How so? Because while He walked this earth for 33 years, He never sinned once when tempted to do so. That qualified Him to be the one and only acceptable sacrifice God the Father would accept to pay the penalty for each of our sins so we wouldn't have to pay for them for all eternity. To have those sins separate us from God for all eternity.

Yet having our sins forgiven is not sufficient enough to be in right standing for eternity with God to meet His demands "that we be holy as He is holy." Are you ready for THIS?  No human - no Christian - can somehow become holy enough - righteous enough - to meet God's demands that we be as holy and as righteous as He is. The Apostle Paul received this revelation from God, BUT he also received a secondary revelation as well. God revealed to him that Jesus not only paid the price for our sins on the cross ... but God imputed HIS righteousness - HIS holiness - to those who make Jesus Christ their personal Lord and Savior. If this is radically different than anything you have ever heard, check this scripture passage out:

"But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law [trying to obey self-imposed religious disciplines, and/or rules and regulations of others, in other words], but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith."  (Philippians 3:3-9).

Then check this one out:

"God (The Father) made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God." (1 Cor. 5:21 NIV).

Thus ... every true follower of Jesus Christ fully meets God's demands to be holy and righteous as He is holy and righteous by receiving it FREE (Simply by BELIEVING - TRUSTING ... because of what Jesus accomplished for them on the cross. MIND BOGGLING, ISN'T IT?! It seems too good to be true, doesn't it?! Yet the FREE gift of salvation (forgiveness of our sins) and the FREE gift of God's imputed righteousness is available to all who will appreciate it, and demonstrate to their Lord how appreciative they are of it, in this life. It is making a serious decision to identify with Jesus Christ. This is the start of Eternal Life.

JESUS DID IT!

Remember:  All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity. (Matthew 6:19-20 is our assurance)
