salvation. Faith without works is dead so we must be living examples. The Holy Spirit dwells within us and it is He who saves not us. His power can shine through us if we stay humble and kind to all. In the Ephesians 6:20, Paul tells us that we are ambassadors of Christ. This means that wherever we go, we represent Jesus Christ on earth so that all may see and know His purpose and direction. Many times, a strong good example is just enough for the other religious groups to never challenge or question an inmate.
Bible study of the apologetics or defending the faith can build up one's confidence in explaining the Christian faith or avoiding religious arguments. It is not just a matter of memorizing verses and being able to spout them off. It is about truly understanding how it all fits together and know without doubt that it is the truth.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. (2 Timothy 2:15-16 NKJV)
If your grandma got old and you had to interview nurses to take care of her, you would not hire one that just had the 'head knowledge' and never had any practical experience. The one that would most appeal to you would be one that had studied the text books but also had experience in how to apply that knowledge in any situation. The same goes with Christians who study the Bible. Some seem to know the word of God, but actually don't. Then there are those that do know the scriptures and are very professional sounding, but they lack any true experiences in life to which the scriptures apply. The best combination is just like hiring the best nurse. It is important to know and understand the Bible and continually grow in knowledge, but at the same time, have a mature and humble heart, trying to imitate Christ as best one can. This will cause one to make a real impact on those around him as a true ambassador for Christ should. Although, every Christian should grow spiritually all of his life, becoming a quality ambassador for Christ can be obtained in a short period of time with prayer and the right support from friends and family. The spiritual rewards from all of this can be awesome. Having good ambassadors for Christ in prison is crucial to the body of Christ as a whole now and in the future.

Remember: All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God.
