Dan Revoir was a living answer to prayer. While recovering from heart surgery and a serious accident, Dan was stricken with severe pancreatitis, he was hospitalized for ten months, the first three in the Intensive Care Unit, and had major surgery three times. All hope seemed gone. He was not expected to live. But God had other plans!
His testimony will encourage your heart toward God's faithfulness. God has taught him the meaning of 2 Corinthians 2:14, "Now thanks be unto God, who always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place."
Dan's desire was to share comfort and hope with others from what he had learned through suffering and His relationship with God. In this book, he also shares a message of revival of the soul, spiritual commitment (and maybe re-commitment for those who feel as though God is removed from their suffering), and a love for the Lord Jesus Christ that the Holy Spirit can use to impart faith to others who may be struggling greatly in their love for Jesus Christ.
Dan had previously served with the Independent Bible Missions, in Comstock Park, MI as their Pastor at Large. His background as a youth pastor and senior pastor combined with the experience of suffering distinctly qualified him for a ministry to challenge God's people.
His messages are:
Biblical
Practical
Dynamic
Moving
Humorous
Probing
Challenging
He was prepared to serve the local church with a variety of ministries:
Three to four day meetings
Week-end retreats
Special Sunday services
Banquets
Highlights for young people
What Others Are Saying...
"It's a pleasure to write you and let you know what some of the people have said concerning the ministry of God in their lives during your visit with us." -- Pastor Jeff Worden, Hickory Corners Bible Church, Hickory Corners, MI
"A real blessing and a strengthening time for me and my family." -- D.B.
"The weekend Dan and Martha came, I had a dear personal friend die of cancer. God's message to me through Dan not only helped heal the hurt, but allowed me to see more clearly God's hand of love in it all." -- L.W.
"I was blessed, uplifted and encouraged. I had peace with adults with whom I had been in conflict."
-- G.W. (A teen)
"One of the most important things you've taught me by your life is not to waste it. I would like my life and what I do with it from now on (all my life, not just parts) to count for eternity." -- S.D., Pierson, MI
"Brother Dan has been a real tool in my life. God has spoken to me through him and my life is changed. Praise the Lord for someone who cares for others as much as he." -- K.B., Miles City, MT
"The Lord did a wonderful work in my life through brother Dan's admonishment against taking God for granted. Now my first and last prayer each day is, 'Lord, not my will but yours, make me what you will.' I spend a great deal of time in the Scriptures now to be certain of His will for me." -- P.M., Miles City, MT
Dan Revoir emphatically stated he did not have the gift of healing! But he felt that he had the gift of counseling (helping people) and the gift of discernment. As he talked to people he could sense depression and abuse issues; also demonic attacks, enabling him to pray with wisdom.
When praying he sought God's will and the leading of the Holy Spirit, usually with tears! When asked how he prays, his response was 'I pray God's Word back to Him.' Examples are: Numbers 23:19 'God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent. Hath he said and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good?'
You see God is bound to His own Word. Psalms 138:2 tells us that God magnifies His Word above all His name. His Word is the most important thing in the universe.
Psalms 107:19 -20: 'Then they shall cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses, He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.' Dan uses these verses and others when praying for the sick and afflicted, when it glorifies God He shows His mighty arm. Jeremiah 33:3 God states: 'Call on me and I will answer thee and show you great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.'

Remember: All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity. (Matthew 6:19-21 is our assurance)
