WHY WERE YOU AND I CREATED?

Jesus Did It!

(By: Norm Rasmussen)

God created us to enjoy us ... and for us to enjoy Him.

Yet sin keeps us from experiencing that. God gave humanity THE way to have the sin-barrier removed off us so we can enjoy God like Adam and Eve were able to enjoy Him before they sinned. You can find out how God did that for us by clicking on "JESUS DID IT!" above.

Once we have confessed to Him our sins, and asked for His forgiveness - we are forgiven of them. That cleanses and removes the barrier of unrighteousness (our wrong-doing against God and others) that separated us from God and God is now able to come live inside us in Spirit. In our doing so, we are granted supernatural peace from God that the moment we die, we will be with Him in heaven forevermore.

With the Holy Spirit inside us after surrendering to Jesus Christ, we are now equipped to start enjoying His Word of Truth (The Holy Bible), if we aren't on our death bed of course, unable to read it or hear it.

We all have a deep seated need to find purpose in our life. God also created us to be that way. For born again Christians, they have learned that nothing else in this life satisfies like knowing that loving and serving God in Truth is the highest, most fulfilling endeavor there is. Truly ... we were created to enjoy God, and for God to enjoy us. Once that understanding permeates deep inside your mind ... everything else in this life becomes very secondary in purpose.

Eye has not seen, nor has ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

From a biblical perspective, here are different reasons why we were created. I've not given an exhaustive list of scripture passages to support my statements; only a few. You can click on each scripture passage given to read it for yourself:

We were created to enjoy God ... and for God to enjoy us -- for all eternity! (Psalms 149:4)

We were created to glorify God -- to reflect the glory of God (In alignment with Truth, of course). (1 Cor. 6:20; 1 Peter 4:11; Revelation 4:11) Our of this primary purpose, all else flows. (Thus we are wise to ask ourselves daily how WELL we are doing at reflecting the glory of Jesus Christ to others around us, and in our thoughts, and be honest with ourselves).

We were created to be lovers -- lovers of God and lovers of others. (Matthew 22:36-39; 1 Cor. 2:9)

We were created to be loved. (Genesis 2:18; Romans 8:38-39)

We were created to experience everlasting joy. (That isn't going to happen to the fullest until we are in heaven because of our battles with our sinful nature and the spiritual attacks of Satan against us). (Romans 14:17; Psalms 16:11)

We were created to serve God -- created for good works to help destroy (counter) the works of the evil one, especially putting to death strongholds of sin in our lives.)  (1 John 3:8); Ephesians 2:10; Romans 12:6-8)

We were created to be investors, Kingdom Of God investors. (Matt 6:33; Romans 12:6-8)

We were created to suffer temporarily for God. (Romans 8:16-18; Hebrews 2:10; Hebrews 12:1-11)

We were created to be judges of angels in some capacity. (1 Cor. 6:3) (I personally believe that to be fallen angels; others believe that may be heavenly angels).

We were created to be rewarded by God. (1 Cor. 3:8-15; 2 Cor. 5:10; Matt. 16:27; Rev. 2:23; Rev. 22:12

We were created to be glorified by God. (Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Cor. 15:35-58; Heb. 2:10; Romans 2:7; Romans 8:16-18)

We were created to co-reign with God. (Revelation 5:10; Revelation 20:6; Romans 8:16-18

We were created to experience eternal joy and peace, everlasting life (Matt. 25:20-21Mark 10:29-30; Psalms 126:5; John 3:16; Romans 2:7)

Remember:  All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify God. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for eternity, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for eternity. (Matthew 6:19-20 is our assurance)
