THE FINGER OF GOD

Author’s Page

I would like to explain that this book is not one story but a succession of short stories that are separate from each other, not having any continuity or time frame. They are not in chronological order but rather events that I have witnessed.

All Scripture references will be taken from the King James Version.

Introduction

The Israelites were in bondage to Egypt for about 300 years. The Egyptians were cruel task masters. The cries of the children of God were heard in heaven. So God appointed Moses to confront Pharaoh, telling him, “The Lord God said, ‘Let my people go.’” Of course, Pharaoh refused and so there was a contest between Moses and the magicians of Egypt. After several tests, the magicians duplicated what Moses had displayed for them. Then God produced through Moses ten plagues to make Pharaoh release the Israelites. At one point the magicians went to Pharaoh and said they could not perform what Moses had accomplished and they stated in

Exodus 8:18 – 19: “And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not; so there were lice upon man and upon beast. Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them, as the Lord had said.”

I want to share with you some experiences that I have witnessed that were truly, “The Finger of God”.

Prologue

Once again the Holy Spirit moved me to pick up my pen and start writing. There are some things I must clarify before I begin. I don’t hear God speak audibly. But He does speak to my spirit. I believe every born-again person has heard God speak but maybe didn’t realize it or maybe wasn’t listening. God gives verses of Scripture called “rhema words” or words of statement, command or instruction, as in, “call someone, go see someone, or talk to someone.”

I have never seen the Lord standing at the end of my bed as many people have related to me because I have never had that vision. I did have one out-of-body experience while facing death! I am just your basic Christian who happens to be a servant of God. Now before you start thinking “My, aren’t we proud, to deign to think you could be a servant of the Most High, Lord God Jehovah.” I am not worthy to serve Him and no one knows that better than I, but God said in His word that if the people would not praise Him that the very stones would cry out. So you see I am one step above the stones and for some unexplainable reason God chooses to use me for His glory. There is not an element of pride in that, but more one of bewilderment.

In my first book, “Please Let Me Die” I spoke of pain and the fact that I was cognizant of many types of pain. I know now that was true but there is always more and different pain. I realize in my life and the lives of others that I have only just a glimpse of the spectrum of pain. I must iterate that emotional and mental pain completely eclipses that of physical pain but not always true for everyone.

I Peter 4:12–13: “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to test you, as though some strange thing happened unto you, but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”

I am going to share some incredible experiences that many of you will not believe. Some that will go against your own personal theology. They have changed my perspective of God. So you may mock me, reprove me, call me a fool or possibly feel that I am insane or need to be hospitalized in some mental institution. But I doubt you will do any of that since you are reading the book. I want to share the times that I have seen the very hand of God in my life and the lives of others. That is why I have entitled this book, The Finger of God so I can share the glory of our awesome God!
