If you would like to be used of the Lord in this area of outreach ministry, there are a number of different ways you can be.  If you know of someone you feel we should contact about videotaping their testimony, by all means let us know who that is.  God may even want you to be someone we are to videotape!

We would also be so blessed if God impressed OTHER saints who have a desire to help touch lives for Jesus Christ through video taping born again believers in the local West Michigan area.  (If that is you, email us, PLEASE!)

The door God has opened for us to play our weekly broadcasts are on Cable TV Public Access stations, as some of you are aware.  Our broadcasts may not be presently playing on your Cable TV Public Access channel, and the reason it most likely isn’t is because we need someone in your viewing area to be a sponsor for the broadcast.   Each city or community varies a little, but a sponsor is simply someone who fills out a standard form from their local Public Access Station requesting that our broadcast play on their Public Access Channel.  When you mention the word “Sponsor,” some people automatically assume that it will cost them some money to be a Sponsor.  Not so at all.  Local Cable TV Access exists primarily for local TV producers of that respective community.  When TV producers like us desire to play tapes on Public Access channels in cities different than our own, a requirement is that we must have a local resident of that community request that it play on their Public Access channel.  This requirement slows down video producers around the world wanting free airtime on Public Access channels, just like Precious Testimonies does.   

Our broadcasts are very much evangelistic if you’ve not seen them, and we make certain that the Gospel Message is mentioned on every broadcast we release … which is:  Jesus Christ died for sinners so their sins can be forgiven. 

As with every outreach ministry of this kind, we constantly ask for prayer: prayer for us and the ministry, and prayer for those we videotape.  Satan is fully aware of how God is using these broadcasts to plant and water seeds in the lost, and attacks from the enemy are commonplace.  Of course this shouldn’t surprise anyone, but still, prayer coverage for this ministry is so much appreciated.  You may never sense God calling you to testify and minister on a video broadcast, or forward us a written testimony to be placed on the ministry website, but your prayers for this ministry to remain effective in reaching lost souls may be the most valuable contribution you could ever make!

There is a specific area we want to make mention of for those of you who are willing to pray for us.  The Cable TV industry has been going through a number of changes the average person in America would have no knowledge of.  A number of Cable TV Public Access channels will essentially stop operating in different states, or at least be cutting way back on how many broadcasts they will be playing on their Public Access channel.  A law was passed in Michigan in 2006 that AT&T must also support Cable TV Public Access financially, once they soon begin competing with existing Cable TV companies, which is good for ministries like Precious Testimonies called to help reach lost souls yet operates on a shoe-string budget and couldn’t possibly pay for Christian TV airtime unless God opened some financial floodgates.  (Every indication is that AT&T would not have voluntarily contributed financially to helping Public Access TV continue without the law Michigan passed).

Our local Cable Access Station here in Jenison, Michigan operates out of the Hudsonville High School (a few miles southwest from us).  It’s a small operation, due to lack of adequate funding (like most Public Access Stations across the country), yet this little, tiny, “obscure” Public Access station (WCET-TV, Channel 25) is streaming their video broadcasts … the Precious Testimonies weekly broadcasts every Sunday evening from 7 PM to 9 PM (awesome air time!) … on the Internet, which is going out around the globe!  (Many of the larger Public Access Stations in bigger cities are not video streaming on the Internet like WCET-TV is.  Here is the link to their website: http://www.wcet-tv.org/ ).

This is hard for some people to fully appreciate what is happening … but every time someone allows us to videotape their born again testimony and minister as the Holy Spirit leads, it is now able to go around the globe on the Internet every Sunday evening – being played out of a room in Hudsonville High School.  That’s no small thing!  Yet the only way this is able to continue to happen is that WCET-TV continues to receive adequate funding in the future to stay in operation.  That won’t happen just because it would be “nice.”  God’s help is greatly needed, and that help is granted from God by those who will help pray for it, and even take the time to call their local Public Access and thank them for all they are doing, and thanking them for giving us air time on their channel to play our broadcasts.  Them hearing from just a handful of viewers each month goes a LONG WAY in continuing to receive favor from them, let us assure you.

The same equally applies to other key Public Access stations that play our weekly broadcast: GRTV and WKTV Public Access in Grand Rapids and Wyoming (Channel 25 as well) also need our on-going prayers for adequate financing in the future; Access Vision in Battle Creek; MAC-TV in Holland; Charter Cable in Grand Haven; Portage Access in Portage; MNN in New York, NY; and AT&T Cable Services in La Porte, IN. 

Here’s what we are asking you prayer warriors specifically:  Please pray as the Holy Spirit leads you that all of the above mentioned Public Access Stations, and especially WCET-TV Public Access TV located in Hudsonville, Michigan, will continue to receive abundant financing to stay in operation, and be able to offer the services they provide for their local communities and also be able to video stream on the Internet like WCET-TV in Hudsonville, Michigan is doing.  The more Public Access stations that can video stream our broadcasts on the Internet, the more odds increase of the broadcasts being able to be viewed ... and here is the cincher: The more prayer warriors can be informed of their need to pray for our ministry and the Public Access stations that video stream our broadcasts, and the broadcasts of other evangelistic ministries sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus (Which IS:  Jesus Christ died to save sinners from their sins, right? Yep!)

What is so exciting about video streaming on the Internet is that people cannot only see them around the world even if they aren’t available on their television, they can also make DVD copies of them right on their computer.  They can then use those copies to pass around to others who don’t even HAVE computers to be able to watch our broadcasts.  So very exciting … the technology God has given us to help fulfill the Great Commission, isn’t it?

We’ve started emailing people who receive our Precious Testimonies Weekly Ministry Encourager how they can view our weekly 7–9 Sunday evening broadcast on their computer as a reminder of the time it is available.  If other Public Access Stations who play our weekly broadcasts also begin video-streaming across the Internet, we’ll also alert you of those dates and times as well for your convenience.
